Psalm 121 - Wednesday

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Crow: Trust... Trust in His power. Trust in his love. Trust in his grace. Trust the Lord.. Who am i, that the Lord should shower such deep concern for me and ensure such protection over my life? Thank u Lord that I am your daughter from the beginning of time to eternity.. And nothing, nothing will ever change that.. Thank u Lord..

Eunice: The Lord will not let me foot slip, and you will keep me from all harm. Lord, I claim the promise over your protection over me. God, thank you for being who you are. The many questions that I need answers to, Lord, my help comes from you. Lord forgive me when I thought I could do it w/o you, the many times when I tried to juggle it all, and looked silly. Lord I'm sorry.

Huijuan: God is just truly amazing in my life. How i could i live without u, hw would i survive without your love, without your touch....thank You father!

Sara: Very comforted by these words, that You Lord, watch over my coming and my going, which means every single step i take! Though Im not worthy of any of these, You stil lavish Your love on me and keep me from harm... I dont deserve any of this because I am but a fickle and wavering child who keeps hurting you with my words and my actions. How can I be like you??

Dellia: Thank You Lord, because I can rest assure that You are always watching over each and everyone of us.

Psalm 120 - Tuesday

Psalm 120

A song of ascents.
1 I call on the LORD in my distress,
and he answers me.

2 Save me, O LORD, from lying lips
and from deceitful tongues.

3 What will he do to you,
and what more besides, O deceitful tongue?

4 He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows,
with burning coals of the broom tree.

5 Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech,
that I live among the tents of Kedar!

6 Too long have I lived
among those who hate peace.

7 I am a man of peace;
but when I speak, they are for war.

Chin Ling : Oh Lord, help me be a person at peace and of peace. :)

Huijuan: I will call on the Lord and He answers me! The nightmare of 2 papers in one day is over!!! especially Chemistry!! ahah God is really amazing, he jus guided me all the way!!! Hallelujah!! FReedom!

Dellia: Keep me pure and always guard me, that I will rest and trust in You and speak words of truth season with grace

Aileen: It's funny how this psalms is so much shorter than yesterday's! haha, anyway I wanna be a man of peace too. Even as i start my new biz class tonight, i pray that I would be that woman of peace in the classroom

Crow: Dear Lord, please help me to speak not what is wrong or spiteful, but to constantly lean on your wisdom. may i learn to daily die to my own desires and release my rights to u..

Psalm 119 - Monday

Psalm 119

' Aleph
1 [a] Blessed are they whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the LORD.

2 Blessed are they who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart.

3 They do nothing wrong;
they walk in his ways.

4 You have laid down precepts
that are to be fully obeyed.

5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast
in obeying your decrees!

6 Then I would not be put to shame
when I consider all your commands.

7 I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws.

8 I will obey your decrees;
do not utterly forsake me.

b Beth
9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word.

10 I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.

11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

12 Praise be to you, O LORD;
teach me your decrees.

13 With my lips I recount
all the laws that come from your mouth.

14 I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.

15 I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.

16 I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.

g Gimel
17 Do good to your servant, and I will live;
I will obey your word.

18 Open my eyes that I may see
wonderful things in your law.

19 I am a stranger on earth;
do not hide your commands from me.

20 My soul is consumed with longing
for your laws at all times.

21 You rebuke the arrogant, who are cursed
and who stray from your commands.

22 Remove from me scorn and contempt,
for I keep your statutes.

23 Though rulers sit together and slander me,
your servant will meditate on your decrees.

24 Your statutes are my delight;
they are my counselors.

d Daleth
25 I am laid low in the dust;
preserve my life according to your word.

26 I recounted my ways and you answered me;
teach me your decrees.

27 Let me understand the teaching of your precepts;
then I will meditate on your wonders.

28 My soul is weary with sorrow;
strengthen me according to your word.

29 Keep me from deceitful ways;
be gracious to me through your law.

30 I have chosen the way of truth;
I have set my heart on your laws.

31 I hold fast to your statutes, O LORD;
do not let me be put to shame.

32 I run in the path of your commands,
for you have set my heart free.

h He
33 Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees;
then I will keep them to the end.

34 Give me understanding, and I will keep your law
and obey it with all my heart.

35 Direct me in the path of your commands,
for there I find delight.

36 Turn my heart toward your statutes
and not toward selfish gain.

37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
preserve my life according to your word. [b]

38 Fulfill your promise to your servant,
so that you may be feared.

39 Take away the disgrace I dread,
for your laws are good.

40 How I long for your precepts!
Preserve my life in your righteousness.

w Waw
41 May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD,
your salvation according to your promise;

42 then I will answer the one who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.

43 Do not snatch the word of truth from my mouth,
for I have put my hope in your laws.

44 I will always obey your law,
for ever and ever.

45 I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts.

46 I will speak of your statutes before kings
and will not be put to shame,

47 for I delight in your commands
because I love them.

48 I lift up my hands to [c] your commands, which I love,
and I meditate on your decrees.

z Zayin
49 Remember your word to your servant,
for you have given me hope.

50 My comfort in my suffering is this:
Your promise preserves my life.

51 The arrogant mock me without restraint,
but I do not turn from your law.

52 I remember your ancient laws, O LORD,
and I find comfort in them.

53 Indignation grips me because of the wicked,
who have forsaken your law.

54 Your decrees are the theme of my song
wherever I lodge.

55 In the night I remember your name, O LORD,
and I will keep your law.

56 This has been my practice:
I obey your precepts.

x Heth
57 You are my portion, O LORD;
I have promised to obey your words.

58 I have sought your face with all my heart;
be gracious to me according to your promise.

59 I have considered my ways
and have turned my steps to your statutes.

60 I will hasten and not delay
to obey your commands.

61 Though the wicked bind me with ropes,
I will not forget your law.

62 At midnight I rise to give you thanks
for your righteous laws.

63 I am a friend to all who fear you,
to all who follow your precepts.

64 The earth is filled with your love, O LORD;
teach me your decrees.

X Teth
65 Do good to your servant
according to your word, O LORD.

66 Teach me knowledge and good judgment,
for I believe in your commands.

67 Before I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I obey your word.

68 You are good, and what you do is good;
teach me your decrees.

69 Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies,
I keep your precepts with all my heart.

70 Their hearts are callous and unfeeling,
but I delight in your law.

71 It was good for me to be afflicted
so that I might learn your decrees.

72 The law from your mouth is more precious to me
than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.

y Yodh
73 Your hands made me and formed me;
give me understanding to learn your commands.

74 May those who fear you rejoice when they see me,
for I have put my hope in your word.

75 I know, O LORD, that your laws are righteous,
and in faithfulness you have afflicted me.

76 May your unfailing love be my comfort,
according to your promise to your servant.

77 Let your compassion come to me that I may live,
for your law is my delight.

78 May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause;
but I will meditate on your precepts.

79 May those who fear you turn to me,
those who understand your statutes.

80 May my heart be blameless toward your decrees,
that I may not be put to shame.

k Kaph
81 My soul faints with longing for your salvation,
but I have put my hope in your word.

82 My eyes fail, looking for your promise;
I say, "When will you comfort me?"

83 Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke,
I do not forget your decrees.

84 How long must your servant wait?
When will you punish my persecutors?

85 The arrogant dig pitfalls for me,
contrary to your law.

86 All your commands are trustworthy;
help me, for men persecute me without cause.

87 They almost wiped me from the earth,
but I have not forsaken your precepts.

88 Preserve my life according to your love,
and I will obey the statutes of your mouth.

l Lamedh
89 Your word, O LORD, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.

90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations;
you established the earth, and it endures.

91 Your laws endure to this day,
for all things serve you.

92 If your law had not been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.

93 I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life.

94 Save me, for I am yours;
I have sought out your precepts.

95 The wicked are waiting to destroy me,
but I will ponder your statutes.

96 To all perfection I see a limit;
but your commands are boundless.

m Mem
97 Oh, how I love your law!
I meditate on it all day long.

98 Your commands make me wiser than my enemies,
for they are ever with me.

99 I have more insight than all my teachers,
for I meditate on your statutes.

100 I have more understanding than the elders,
for I obey your precepts.

101 I have kept my feet from every evil path
so that I might obey your word.

102 I have not departed from your laws,
for you yourself have taught me.

103 How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104 I gain understanding from your precepts;
therefore I hate every wrong path.

n Nun
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light for my path.

106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it,
that I will follow your righteous laws.

107 I have suffered much;
preserve my life, O LORD, according to your word.

108 Accept, O LORD, the willing praise of my mouth,
and teach me your laws.

109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands,
I will not forget your law.

110 The wicked have set a snare for me,
but I have not strayed from your precepts.

111 Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart.

112 My heart is set on keeping your decrees
to the very end.

s Samekh
113 I hate double-minded men,
but I love your law.

114 You are my refuge and my shield;
I have put my hope in your word.

115 Away from me, you evildoers,
that I may keep the commands of my God!

116 Sustain me according to your promise, and I will live;
do not let my hopes be dashed.

117 Uphold me, and I will be delivered;
I will always have regard for your decrees.

118 You reject all who stray from your decrees,
for their deceitfulness is in vain.

119 All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross;
therefore I love your statutes.

120 My flesh trembles in fear of you;
I stand in awe of your laws.

v Ayin
121 I have done what is righteous and just;
do not leave me to my oppressors.

122 Ensure your servant's well-being;
let not the arrogant oppress me.

123 My eyes fail, looking for your salvation,
looking for your righteous promise.

124 Deal with your servant according to your love
and teach me your decrees.

125 I am your servant; give me discernment
that I may understand your statutes.

126 It is time for you to act, O LORD;
your law is being broken.

127 Because I love your commands
more than gold, more than pure gold,

128 and because I consider all your precepts right,
I hate every wrong path.

p Pe
129 Your statutes are wonderful;
therefore I obey them.

130 The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.

131 I open my mouth and pant,
longing for your commands.

132 Turn to me and have mercy on me,
as you always do to those who love your name.

133 Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me.

134 Redeem me from the oppression of men,
that I may obey your precepts.

135 Make your face shine upon your servant
and teach me your decrees.

136 Streams of tears flow from my eyes,
for your law is not obeyed.

c Tsadhe
137 Righteous are you, O LORD,
and your laws are right.

138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous;
they are fully trustworthy.

139 My zeal wears me out,
for my enemies ignore your words.

140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested,
and your servant loves them.

141 Though I am lowly and despised,
I do not forget your precepts.

142 Your righteousness is everlasting
and your law is true.

143 Trouble and distress have come upon me,
but your commands are my delight.

144 Your statutes are forever right;
give me understanding that I may live.

q Qoph
145 I call with all my heart; answer me, O LORD,
and I will obey your decrees.

146 I call out to you; save me
and I will keep your statutes.

147 I rise before dawn and cry for help;
I have put my hope in your word.

148 My eyes stay open through the watches of the night,
that I may meditate on your promises.

149 Hear my voice in accordance with your love;
preserve my life, O LORD, according to your laws.

150 Those who devise wicked schemes are near,
but they are far from your law.

151 Yet you are near, O LORD,
and all your commands are true.

152 Long ago I learned from your statutes
that you established them to last forever.

r Resh
153 Look upon my suffering and deliver me,
for I have not forgotten your law.

154 Defend my cause and redeem me;
preserve my life according to your promise.

155 Salvation is far from the wicked,
for they do not seek out your decrees.

156 Your compassion is great, O LORD;
preserve my life according to your laws.

157 Many are the foes who persecute me,
but I have not turned from your statutes.

158 I look on the faithless with loathing,
for they do not obey your word.

159 See how I love your precepts;
preserve my life, O LORD, according to your love.

160 All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal.

S Sin and Shin
161 Rulers persecute me without cause,
but my heart trembles at your word.

162 I rejoice in your promise
like one who finds great spoil.

163 I hate and abhor falsehood
but I love your law.

164 Seven times a day I praise you
for your righteous laws.

165 Great peace have they who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble.

166 I wait for your salvation, O LORD,
and I follow your commands.

167 I obey your statutes,
for I love them greatly.

168 I obey your precepts and your statutes,
for all my ways are known to you.

t Taw
169 May my cry come before you, O LORD;
give me understanding according to your word.

170 May my supplication come before you;
deliver me according to your promise.

171 May my lips overflow with praise,
for you teach me your decrees.

172 May my tongue sing of your word,
for all your commands are righteous.

173 May your hand be ready to help me,
for I have chosen your precepts.

174 I long for your salvation, O LORD,
and your law is my delight.

175 Let me live that I may praise you,
and may your laws sustain me.

176 I have strayed like a lost sheep.
Seek your servant,
for I have not forgotten your commands.

Chin Ling: As I read the psalm this morning, I was thinking, what can be written that can be sooooooo long! Then I realise, all it talks about is God's words. I realised the various psalmist was actually saying, in good times, he trusts in God's word. In sorrowful times, he look into God's words. In times of discouragement or attacks, he turns to God's words. They looked at God's words in the light of protecting them and blessing them. I was prompted to relook at my attitude towards God's words and instructions. Has it been a burdened or a joy? At all times, I want to turn towards this manual of life.

Dellia: Today's psalm was really refreshing for me.....I mean it's the longest psalm..but I really enjoyed reading it. As I read it, I really felt as the psalmist and it was like a long prayer to the Lord...a chit chat and a hearts cry to Him. His word used to be of such flavour to me and along the way I seems to lose it...O Lord, I cry out to You, that I will always keep Your commands in my heart. Thank You Lord.

Aileen: *phew* that was.. long.. hahah.. but it was so poetic! and i remembered how crow wrote that poem to the lord that day during solitude. I think i really wanna be reminded of how great my God is.. how he inspires us to write great songs of love and this is one of them. I look to the lord in everything

Crow: Very beautifully written... The first time i read through it, the only thing that went through my mind was, "Oh man, I'm like, so far from this lah... hahaha.." I find that i am lukewarm. I find that i am not like the man in the psalm, so eager for the word of God to live in his life... And so there i was comparing myself to this man, till the Lord said, "Crow, it's all or nothing. MAke a choice..." And the following song (not complete i think..) was birthed through my ponders on this psalm....

All or Nothing

Blessed is he
He who does no wrong
So blessed is he
He whose walk is blameless
Steadfast are his ways
And he praises
With upright heart

Lord I find it hard
To be that man
To love your word
And live it out

Yet I must
Cause your word says

It’s all or nothing
A choice to make
You gave me all
Now I will give you all

I’ll seek you with all my heart
Walk in all your ways
Sing with all I am
Till I see Your face
I’ll give you all I have
Nothing will I possess
O Lord I give to you
My all

It’s all or nothing
All or nothing
A choice to make
You gave me all
Now I will give you all

Psalm 118 - Sunday

Psalm 118

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

2 Let Israel say:
"His love endures forever."

3 Let the house of Aaron say:
"His love endures forever."

4 Let those who fear the LORD say:
"His love endures forever."

5 In my anguish I cried to the LORD,
and he answered by setting me free.

6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?

7 The LORD is with me; he is my helper.
I will look in triumph on my enemies.

8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in man.

9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in princes.

10 All the nations surrounded me,
but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.

11 They surrounded me on every side,
but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.

12 They swarmed around me like bees,
but they died out as quickly as burning thorns;
in the name of the LORD I cut them off.

13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the LORD helped me.

14 The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.

15 Shouts of joy and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
"The LORD's right hand has done mighty things!

16 The LORD's right hand is lifted high;
the LORD's right hand has done mighty things!"

17 I will not die but live,
and will proclaim what the LORD has done.

18 The LORD has chastened me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.

19 Open for me the gates of righteousness;
I will enter and give thanks to the LORD.

20 This is the gate of the LORD
through which the righteous may enter.

21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
you have become my salvation.

22 The stone the builders rejected
has become the capstone;

23 the LORD has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.

24 This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.

25 O LORD, save us;
O LORD, grant us success.

26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.
From the house of the LORD we bless you. [a]

27 The LORD is God,
and he has made his light shine upon us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up [b] to the horns of the altar.

28 You are my God, and I will give you thanks;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.

29 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Huijuan: Thank God for his love. Yday felt so defeated and depressed, i jus seemed not able to do chemistry....cos must combine five topics for one qn. Omg....its some synthesizing of some organice structure. But God is the victory in my life! I can do it. He jus assures me today that His love endures forever and that is enough. :) Tmr will do my best for the 2 papers! Its the last lap!

Dellia: that's all...give thanks...always and always! =)

Psalm 117 - Saturday

Psalm 117

1 Praise the LORD, all you nations;
extol him, all you peoples.

2 For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
Praise the LORD. [a]

Eunice: I just came back from QQS meeting, and.. the Lord has hit me.. that w/o Him, I am nothing. All the deeds that I do, all the words that I say, will be nothing. Forgive me Lord, for I have tried to depend on my own strength again. Yet, your presence was so strong, that you came to tell me gently that it is not the tasks that matter. Somethngs so simple yet, I took it to me so complicated. It is not the doings that matter, but it is me Lord. Me. Forgive me that my focus was wrong. Forgive me that I have tried to balance on my own. Indeed Lord, Praise and all glory to you. with both hands lifted up. To you and you alone, deserve all glory. Amen!

Crow: Great is God's love.. He is faithful forever... With these 2 simple truths, we can actually go through all things in life.. Hmm.. Thank you God for your faithfulness... Even when im unfaithful...Hmm.. I think it is not easy to walk right with God all the time... But things can be simple, really... to hold on to the truths that God's love is great and He is faithful forever....

Psalm 116 - Friday

Psalm 116
1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.
2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave [a] came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name of the LORD : "O LORD, save me!"
5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
6 The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.
7 Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.
8 For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,
9 that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 I believed; therefore [b] I said, "I am greatly afflicted."
11 And in my dismay I said, "All men are liars."
12 How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
16 O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant [c] ; you have freed me from my chains.
17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.
18 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts of the house of the LORD— in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD. [d]

Chin Ling : I speak to my soul what v7 says "Be at rest, oh my soul, the Lord has been good to you.." Its Friday, and its a good day to take account of the good things the Lord has done in the week! Thank you lord, for being so good to me and calling me your precious child.

Eunice: I called out to the Lord and he heard my voice! I prayed about something early this week, and the Lord answered.. Really thankful. but sometimes, human nature always think that it would be good if its always so good, etc.. Yeaps, but.. God, thank You for hearing my cry, and giving me more than enough for that answered prayer. Indeed, I am your servant. that I will always prasie you for everything, in everything, with my everything, because, there is just always so much to praise you for. So blessed that I cant contain it. So much that I got to give it away!

Aileen: "How can i repay the lord for His goodness to me?" yar it's so true. At this time and age, i begin to ponder about more of life's decisions and working through issues of my life. I know that when i have my struggles, i can look to the lord's goodness to see me through. And many a times, this has been so true. Even now as i work out issues and sort out differences, i have learnt to seek the lord and i begin to see how his perfect love can really cover my imperfection. Thank God

Juan: The Lord protects the simple hearted, mon's paper haven really grasp it.....omg.. so i went to do sth..ahah.. i feel so young and simple at heart now! i can do it!

Sara: Wah, this week has not been an easy week, and I was just turning to the Lord this morning for mercy (in my shower) coz I think I'm quite burnt out especially at work, and I come to this point where I cant even bear to stay any longer than 6 plus at work because I would have been so drained. BUT… God heard me! And he heard my cry for mercy! And when I read today's msg, I knew that it was His voice where he said in Mark 8, "What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?" Haa… I rather choose the Lord to the world anytime… so Lord, please help me not to look to the things of the world, but to keep my eyes on You!!! =)

If I have but Jesus, only Jesus
Nothing else in all the world beside
O then everything is mine in Jesus;
For my needs and more He will provide.

Psalm 115- Thursday

Psalm 115

1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness.

2 Why do the nations say,
"Where is their God?"

3 Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him.

4 But their idols are silver and gold,
made by the hands of men.

5 They have mouths, but cannot speak,
eyes, but they cannot see;

6 they have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but they cannot smell;

7 they have hands, but cannot feel,
feet, but they cannot walk;
nor can they utter a sound with their throats.

8 Those who make them will be like them,
and so will all who trust in them.

9 O house of Israel, trust in the LORD—
he is their help and shield.

10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD—
he is their help and shield.

11 You who fear him, trust in the LORD—
he is their help and shield.

12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us:
He will bless the house of Israel,
he will bless the house of Aaron,

13 he will bless those who fear the LORD—
small and great alike.

14 May the LORD make you increase,
both you and your children.

15 May you be blessed by the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

16 The highest heavens belong to the LORD,
but the earth he has given to man.

17 It is not the dead who praise the LORD,
those who go down to silence;

18 it is we who extol the LORD,
both now and forevermore.
Praise the LORD. [a]

Crow: I am reminded that it is not about me at all, and it is all about God. And also to trust. My mum was just saying yesterday, "It is not Seeing is Believing.... But Believing is Seeing.. That is Faith.." Just Believe! God is Good all the time!

Aileen: "Those who make them will be like them" I'm constantly reminded not to fall into the trap of the world, but to remember and dwell in the lord's house yet survive in the world. hahaha.. i like that

Juan: Those who fear the Lord, he will bless. Before i begin my intense revision again, God reminded me to spend time with him. :)

Pam: Felt the drag coming to work after a gd off ydae... so..... yah! But I am claiming v13 for todae esp. croakz

Chin Ling: The Lord is a God who WANTS to bless, if only we do not turn to our own idols.

Dellia: reminded that all glory be unto Him and HIm alone

Psalm 114 - WednesdAY

Psalm 114

1 When Israel came out of Egypt,
the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,

2 Judah became God's sanctuary,
Israel his dominion.

3 The sea looked and fled,
the Jordan turned back;

4 the mountains skipped like rams,
the hills like lambs.

5 Why was it, O sea, that you fled,
O Jordan, that you turned back,

6 you mountains, that you skipped like rams,
you hills, like lambs?

7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob,

8 who turned the rock into a pool,
the hard rock into springs of water.

Chin Ling: One of the most challenging period for me at work recently, and all the more I should take time to erad his word, hear his voice. During this HFMD period, I realise our decisions made are changed from hour to hour depending on the situation, everything is unpredictable, but as I read, all I felt and know is that MY GOD IS IN CONTROL! AMEN! :)

Eunice: Lord, at your presence, I tremble at your reverence. Lord.. thank you for teaching me to look ahead at the promised land, and not the desert. Indeed, you turn hard rock into springs of water.. Hallalujah!

Aileen: I was trying very hard to understand what this verse was talking about than it suddenly struck me. Woa. it's talking about the moses period, how the lord brought the people out and then Judah and Israel were under the governance (hence "dominion") of the lord but then the "sea fled" "the mountains skipped".. aka the people. What a timely reminder for me too.. Finally and i repeat FINALLY PSB confirmed that im teaching the morning class and i really thank God cause i realized that teaching PSB in the morning and coming back to Raffles in the afternoon will give me a substantial amount of ke cheng, and i really thank God for it! RReading this psalms reminds me not to take God's mercy for granted and not to complain!!! and not to let the sea flee and the mountains skip but to be firmly rooted in the lord.. yeah

Crow: Yup, like what chin said... God is in Control.. he who is able to instruct the sea and the mountains is sure able to work big miracles in our lives.. Indeed, if our God is for us, who can be against us?? Be discouraged no more, crow! :)

Huijuan: When i was reading the pslams, it jus reminded me of God in my life, He is always there for me. Today i really have no mood to study... i dun koe why... but i jus pray for God's presence to be with me!

Dellia: Have no fear my dear friends, because God is in control!

Psalm 113 - Tuesday

Psalm 113

1 Praise the LORD. [a]
Praise, O servants of the LORD,
praise the name of the LORD.

2 Let the name of the LORD be praised,
both now and forevermore.

3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the LORD is to be praised.

4 The LORD is exalted over all the nations,
his glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like the LORD our God,
the One who sits enthroned on high,

6 who stoops down to look
on the heavens and the earth?

7 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;

8 he seats them with princes,
with the princes of their people.

9 He settles the barren woman in her home
as a happy mother of children.
Praise the LORD.

Eunice: No one Lord, no one.. is like you, who stoops down to look at the earth from the heavens.. no one else, knows each and everyone of us more than you do. Indeed, you have spoken, that you can set even the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. What else can you not do? Lord, raise this heart, to be one of your faithful servants, to always remember that you are always the God of impossibles. 100% man, 100% God.. Thank You Lord Jesus.

Chin Ling: The picture that I see when I read this is that a very very poor begger is sitted next to a highly esteemed prince, of whom everyone worships and desires his attention. I'm so glad that the Lord my God has picked me up from the slumps and seated me beside him. My glory belongs to Jesus, My Joy belongs to him, he is my everything, he is my all. For that, Praise the Lord. My heart is so thankful...

Aileen: I'm really thankful of the lord's mercy and tenderness and i'm really reminded how God loves the nations and the people far away.. My prayer is that the nations will come to know the lord

Crow: So great is our Lord, and so great is His love that He cares so much for us.. Indeed He raises the poor and lifts the needy.. Praise the Lord!

Huijuan: The Lord is the same to me, yesterday, today and forever. I love you Jesus!!

Sara: Today's Earth Day! And i agree that while the creations are so awe-inspiring, it only brings out the grandeur and majestic power of our Lord, the Creator of all these! Silly me tend to focus of the creations rather than the Creator at times, focusing on the gifts instead of the Giver, and this is a timely reminder that all the praises and awe should only be directed to Him! =)

Dellia: God is great. I must praise Him every single day. Whether good or bad, He is to be praise.

Psalm 112 - monday

Psalm 112

1[a] Praise the LORD. [b]
Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
who finds great delight in his commands.

2 His children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches are in his house,
and his righteousness endures forever.

4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. [c]

5 Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely,
who conducts his affairs with justice.

6 Surely he will never be shaken;
a righteous man will be remembered forever.

7 He will have no fear of bad news;
his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

8 His heart is secure, he will have no fear;
in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.

9 He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor,
his righteousness endures forever;
his horn [d] will be lifted high in honor.

10 The wicked man will see and be vexed,
he will gnash his teeth and waste away;
the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

Chin Ling: I would love to share a relationship with God to a pt like what V7 - 8 describes. I want to keep looking towards him for hope and in faith..

Eunice: And God is still talking about the fear of the Lord.. from svc ytd, till Pslam 111, and today, Fear the Lord. Lord Jesus, restore this fear of you in my heart, that this fear will only grow in ure reverence, and not cold. This fear of you that bring passion and joy in all that I do, bless it. Amen!

Pam: I think todae's pslam set the mode on how to live for Him.... v5-v9.... I wan to be righteous, gracious and generous at work, wif my loved ones n in ministry!

Sara: Some days (most days) i find myself thinking and worrying about tons of things, and yesterday's msg and today's psalm helped me to realise that the answer to all things lie in this - that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom & knowledge. When we're in the house of the Lord, we dont have to fear, for our hearts will be steadfast and secure. And in the house of the Lord lies wealth and riches and righteousness, so why am i still worrying about the woes and things of the world? Thank You Lord for the greatest Father you are, and now you have released me from my silly struggles! =)

Crow: Wow, so so many promises of the Lord's blessings to claim!!! It is a reminder to me to daily walk right with the Lord.. Well, in a sense, it's not about the blessings... but as i read through the psalm again, i can't help but feel the Lord's heart is that he really really wants to give us all this blessings, this favour, wealth, joy, good life etc.. And all he asks is that we Fear the Lord and Follow his commands... Thank u thank u God for your heart to just bless us.... because we forever are your children.. just like how a parent would not think twice about buying something for his/her child's good, God will so readily and freely bless us, because we are his sons and daughters! Thank God for that! :)

Dellia: I wanna take delight in Him and Him alone only! Same prayer as before, teach me the fear of the Lord.

Psalm 110

Psalm 110

Of David. A psalm.
1 The LORD says to my Lord:
"Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet."

2 The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion;
you will rule in the midst of your enemies.

3 Your troops will be willing
on your day of battle.
Arrayed in holy majesty,
from the womb of the dawn
you will receive the dew of your youth. [a]

4 The LORD has sworn
and will not change his mind:
"You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek."

5 The Lord is at your right hand;
he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.

6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead
and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.

7 He will drink from a brook beside the way [b] ;
therefore he will lift up his head.

Dellia: Lord, thank You, because I know You are in control of everything.

Psalm 100

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving thanks.
1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his [a] ;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 111

Psalm 111

1[a] Praise the LORD. [b]
I will extol the LORD with all my heart
in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

2 Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.

3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
and his righteousness endures forever.

4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
the LORD is gracious and compassionate.

5 He provides food for those who fear him;
he remembers his covenant forever.

6 He has shown his people the power of his works,
giving them the lands of other nations.

7 The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.

8 They are steadfast for ever and ever,
done in faithfulness and uprightness.

9 He provided redemption for his people;
he ordained his covenant forever—
holy and awesome is his name.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.

Dellia: Teach me to fear You God as this is true wisdom. Let me never walk away from You or do things that displeases You.

Psalm 109- Friday

Psalm 109

For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.
1 O God, whom I praise,
do not remain silent,

2 for wicked and deceitful men
have opened their mouths against me;
they have spoken against me with lying tongues.

3 With words of hatred they surround me;
they attack me without cause.

4 In return for my friendship they accuse me,
but I am a man of prayer.

5 They repay me evil for good,
and hatred for my friendship.

6 Appoint [a] an evil man [b] to oppose him;
let an accuser [c] stand at his right hand.

7 When he is tried, let him be found guilty,
and may his prayers condemn him.

8 May his days be few;
may another take his place of leadership.

9 May his children be fatherless
and his wife a widow.

10 May his children be wandering beggars;
may they be driven [d] from their ruined homes.

11 May a creditor seize all he has;
may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.

12 May no one extend kindness to him
or take pity on his fatherless children.

13 May his descendants be cut off,
their names blotted out from the next generation.

14 May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD;
may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.

15 May their sins always remain before the LORD,
that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16 For he never thought of doing a kindness,
but hounded to death the poor
and the needy and the brokenhearted.

17 He loved to pronounce a curse—
may it [e] come on him;
he found no pleasure in blessing—
may it be [f] far from him.

18 He wore cursing as his garment;
it entered into his body like water,
into his bones like oil.

19 May it be like a cloak wrapped about him,
like a belt tied forever around him.

20 May this be the LORD's payment to my accusers,
to those who speak evil of me.

21 But you, O Sovereign LORD,
deal well with me for your name's sake;
out of the goodness of your love, deliver me.

22 For I am poor and needy,
and my heart is wounded within me.

23 I fade away like an evening shadow;
I am shaken off like a locust.

24 My knees give way from fasting;
my body is thin and gaunt.

25 I am an object of scorn to my accusers;
when they see me, they shake their heads.

26 Help me, O LORD my God;
save me in accordance with your love.

27 Let them know that it is your hand,
that you, O LORD, have done it.

28 They may curse, but you will bless;
when they attack they will be put to shame,
but your servant will rejoice.

29 My accusers will be clothed with disgrace
and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.

30 With my mouth I will greatly extol the LORD;
in the great throng I will praise him.

31 For he stands at the right hand of the needy one,
to save his life from those who condemn him.

Dellia: Woah...as I read this psalm...well, can't really explain how I feel, but I think it's rather scary! I mean the Lord delivers those whom are with Him and He will protect, but on the other hand...haaa....weird feeling I have..but I wonder wah....the one that is being "cursed" rather poor thing leh.! Haa..funny right? Well, will there ever be "World peace"??? ahaaaaa!!

Chin Ling: This psalm talks about David who is hurt, i think by a friend... and he has only one hope - in the promises of the Lord. I thank God that my hope in him is sure and steady. BTW, please pray for the current HFMD situration, its really NOT GOOD! THANK you!

Crow: v4, "But i am a man of prayer".. HAha, i pray that yes, i will be a woman of prayer! to stand in the gap between man and God.. I didnt like reading this psalm at all... haha.. hmmm... seems so terrible.... like.... ya! like what del said, the one who is cursed is quite poor thing! haa... oh well!

Huijuan: Wow.. cursing.....i pray i dun curse.. not very God's like pattern leh...But i pray God will continue to bless me.

Sara: Haa... yah, this really sounds scary, and I hope that I dont become a person who wants to repay evil for evil. I like vs 28, because it says that while people may curse, the Lord will bless. I pray that I will be like that too, that out of my mouth will not be discouraging words or curses , but of encouraging words and blessings.

Eunice: Lord, I cry out exactly the same way verse 1 speaks.. Lord, do not be silent.. I feel very sucked up.. as in.. cant really exactly describe how I feel, and what's wrong.. Just feel that everything is like hanging around in space.. like w/o gravity. God I pray that you be the gravity of my life again, and put things grounded on you and you alone.

Psalm 108 - Thursday

Psalm 108

A song. A psalm of David.
1 My heart is steadfast, O God;
I will sing and make music with all my soul.

2 Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.

3 I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.

4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory be over all the earth.

6 Save us and help us with your right hand,
that those you love may be delivered.

7 God has spoken from his sanctuary:
"In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
and measure off the Valley of Succoth.

8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim is my helmet,
Judah my scepter.

9 Moab is my washbasin,
upon Edom I toss my sandal;
over Philistia I shout in triumph."

10 Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?

11 Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us
and no longer go out with our armies?

12 Give us aid against the enemy,
for the help of man is worthless.

13 With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.

Chin Ling : I cna testify of V4 of God's love and his faithfulness every step of the way. How he has never forgotten any of his promises. With God, There will always be victory even when it doesn't seem like it! His ways are so much higher. His thoughts are so much more wisdom-ful!

Eunice: These few days, I've been finding it difficult to praise, to even sing a new song.. The psalm for these few days are about praising him, but, I do not feel anything reading it. looking at everyone around me, it makes me feel even more inadequate. Lord, let my heart not turn cold, in v12, you said you will give us the aid against the enemy.. and I can find the victory in you.. God Jesus.. restore my joy..

Huijuan: V is for Victory!! hehe.. The battle begins today, afternoon paper, these 2 days though sick but was satisfied as mentioned in vs 1.... really rested in the midst of revision, now i know y the pslams that i am supposed to read b4 my exams period are so long...cos God wan me to rest.

Something to give thanks for God's love: Simon suppose to go Korea for business trip yday till mon, however the company last min cancel it, he was a bit upset, but i told him God got better plans, so yday i share with him, cos God knows i m falling sick, so he can take care of me. Amen. Simon agreed too. So its a blessing in disguise!

Crow: When i read the first few verses of the psalm, what went through my mind was that David must be in a good mood, and being v close to God when he writes it. And yet at the end of the psalm, i realise that as he wrote it, his army was losing battles, and God was not going with them. Then i remembered the first verse, which said, "My heart is steadfast". And i realise, ya... if our heart is steadfast, no matter what the situation, our hearts can always be filled with praise for the Almighty God.. Lord, help my heart to be steadfast..

Aileen: Exams today!!! and i submitted my resignation letter today also.. gonna convert to part time at raffles! wow.. really lots of battles but i believe in the lord's victory!!! YEAh!

Dellia: Many things have been happening and I thank God for reminding me to let my heart remain steadfast. THank You Lord, for guiding me and always being with me so that I don't have to panick but to trust in You.

Joanna: Been reading God's psalm and seeking him with regards to my recent job offer. God reminded me once again that his ways are higher than my ways and to trust in Him. I called DP and clarified with them some of the things they did not mention in my previous meeting and requested for more time as I wanted to make a responsible decision. Will get back to them on monday, as meanwhile they will continue interviewing. I trust that if this job is mine it will still be kept opened for me, till I am prepared to take tis job according to their terms.

Sara: While knowing that our God is so faithful, I find myself far in comparison to that. im fickle and unstable, and my faith wavers every now and then. But this makes the Lord even more awesome, knowing that He is simply steadfast and unwavering! *whew*

Psalm 107- Wednesday

Psalm 107

BOOK V : Psalms 107-150
1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say this—
those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,

3 those he gathered from the lands,
from east and west, from north and south. [a]

4 Some wandered in desert wastelands,
finding no way to a city where they could settle.

5 They were hungry and thirsty,
and their lives ebbed away.

6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.

7 He led them by a straight way
to a city where they could settle.

8 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men,

9 for he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things.

10 Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom,
prisoners suffering in iron chains,

11 for they had rebelled against the words of God
and despised the counsel of the Most High.

12 So he subjected them to bitter labor;
they stumbled, and there was no one to help.

13 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.

14 He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom
and broke away their chains.

15 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men,

16 for he breaks down gates of bronze
and cuts through bars of iron.

17 Some became fools through their rebellious ways
and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.

18 They loathed all food
and drew near the gates of death.

19 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.

20 He sent forth his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave.

21 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.

22 Let them sacrifice thank offerings
and tell of his works with songs of joy.

23 Others went out on the sea in ships;
they were merchants on the mighty waters.

24 They saw the works of the LORD,
his wonderful deeds in the deep.

25 For he spoke and stirred up a tempest
that lifted high the waves.

26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths;
in their peril their courage melted away.

27 They reeled and staggered like drunken men;
they were at their wits' end.

28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.

29 He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.

30 They were glad when it grew calm,
and he guided them to their desired haven.

31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.

32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders.

33 He turned rivers into a desert,
flowing springs into thirsty ground,

34 and fruitful land into a salt waste,
because of the wickedness of those who lived there.

35 He turned the desert into pools of water
and the parched ground into flowing springs;

36 there he brought the hungry to live,
and they founded a city where they could settle.

37 They sowed fields and planted vineyards
that yielded a fruitful harvest;

38 he blessed them, and their numbers greatly increased,
and he did not let their herds diminish.

39 Then their numbers decreased, and they were humbled
by oppression, calamity and sorrow;

40 he who pours contempt on nobles
made them wander in a trackless waste.

41 But he lifted the needy out of their affliction
and increased their families like flocks.

42 The upright see and rejoice,
but all the wicked shut their mouths.

43 Whoever is wise, let him heed these things
and consider the great love of the LORD.

Eunice:

Huijuan: God never fails us! Amen! Tmr is the start of the first paper, yday was running a fever, but the revision progression was still quite good. :) Thank God!

Chinling: I read read read all the miracles and how some turned away from God despite it all. And, until the last verse, I made a stand to heed these things ( To always see his goodness and remember him in the daily of things) and to consider God's great love. As I heed these things, I will always set my eyes on Him.

Crow: Anyone, rich or poor, weak or strong, old christian or new, can turn away from the Lord.. But the good news is that the Lord rescues ALL, no matter what their past... Thank u Lord for your great love... Indeed, Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever!

Aileen: The lord always rescues his people when they call out to him. The wonderful thing is his mercy, though i shudder to think about the day of judgement but for now i know that his grace is abundant

Sara: Im reminded to be thankful, because vs 1 is really in my face. I think be it good or bad times, i really am thankful that it's an opportunity to draw me nearer to Him! and being close to Him cant go wrong! I thank the Lord that His love for me is everlasting, I am thankful that He showed me grace, I am thankful that He helped me to be patient in this circumstance, and I am thankful that He ended the storm that was brewing the past week! And because of Him, I give thanks!!

Pam: v1 - my wedding verse! Heee..... yup... reminded me to renew my love for You.... !

Dellia: Give thanks Give thanks.......Lord, I wanna give thanks to You always!

Psalm 106 - Tuesday

Psalm 106

1 Praise the LORD. [a]
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

2 Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD
or fully declare his praise?

3 Blessed are they who maintain justice,
who constantly do what is right.

4 Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people,
come to my aid when you save them,

5 that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones,
that I may share in the joy of your nation
and join your inheritance in giving praise.

6 We have sinned, even as our fathers did;
we have done wrong and acted wickedly.

7 When our fathers were in Egypt,
they gave no thought to your miracles;
they did not remember your many kindnesses,
and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea. [b]

8 Yet he saved them for his name's sake,
to make his mighty power known.

9 He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up;
he led them through the depths as through a desert.

10 He saved them from the hand of the foe;
from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them.

11 The waters covered their adversaries;
not one of them survived.

12 Then they believed his promises
and sang his praise.

13 But they soon forgot what he had done
and did not wait for his counsel.

14 In the desert they gave in to their craving;
in the wasteland they put God to the test.

15 So he gave them what they asked for,
but sent a wasting disease upon them.

16 In the camp they grew envious of Moses
and of Aaron, who was consecrated to the LORD.

17 The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan;
it buried the company of Abiram.

18 Fire blazed among their followers;
a flame consumed the wicked.

19 At Horeb they made a calf
and worshiped an idol cast from metal.

20 They exchanged their Glory
for an image of a bull, which eats grass.

21 They forgot the God who saved them,
who had done great things in Egypt,

22 miracles in the land of Ham
and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.

23 So he said he would destroy them—
had not Moses, his chosen one,
stood in the breach before him
to keep his wrath from destroying them.

24 Then they despised the pleasant land;
they did not believe his promise.

25 They grumbled in their tents
and did not obey the LORD.

26 So he swore to them with uplifted hand
that he would make them fall in the desert,

27 make their descendants fall among the nations
and scatter them throughout the lands.

28 They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor
and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;

29 they provoked the LORD to anger by their wicked deeds,
and a plague broke out among them.

30 But Phinehas stood up and intervened,
and the plague was checked.

31 This was credited to him as righteousness
for endless generations to come.

32 By the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD,
and trouble came to Moses because of them;

33 for they rebelled against the Spirit of God,
and rash words came from Moses' lips. [c]

34 They did not destroy the peoples
as the LORD had commanded them,

35 but they mingled with the nations
and adopted their customs.

36 They worshiped their idols,
which became a snare to them.

37 They sacrificed their sons
and their daughters to demons.

38 They shed innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was desecrated by their blood.

39 They defiled themselves by what they did;
by their deeds they prostituted themselves.

40 Therefore the LORD was angry with his people
and abhorred his inheritance.

41 He handed them over to the nations,
and their foes ruled over them.

42 Their enemies oppressed them
and subjected them to their power.

43 Many times he delivered them,
but they were bent on rebellion
and they wasted away in their sin.

44 But he took note of their distress
when he heard their cry;

45 for their sake he remembered his covenant
and out of his great love he relented.

46 He caused them to be pitied
by all who held them captive.

47 Save us, O LORD our God,
and gather us from the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name
and glory in your praise.

48 Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Let all the people say, "Amen!"
Praise the LORD.

Chin Ling : While reading this psalm, Crow's Forget Not kept resuonding in my mind. Yes, Forget Not the wonderful things he have done. Forget Not God's track records else I may complain and develop a negative spirit. The Lord is good and has shown a thousand and one miracles in my life. And I pray..I forget not.

Eunice: Lord w/o you, I will not be what I am today. Indeed, through good and bad, may my one response always be " Give Thanks ". Thank you for carrying me thus far, thank you for hearing my cries, that many times. Thank You Lord.

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever...

" Forever you are faithful, Forever you are strong, forever you are with us, forever... "

Dellia: As I read this psalm, I really think it's rather scary! Initially I was thinking how can anyone forget God and what He has done...but as I read it, I realised that once ya heart becomes lukewarm, u will forget the Lord and will grumble against Him. So timely right? The church often talks about lukewarmness. Lord, teach me to always remember You and be with You. I rather have You than the richness of this world. Help me to stay focus and always giving thanks to You.

Huijuan: I'll never never never forget, I'll grow up loving you.

Aileen: I really thank God for my studies and blessing me with my course and my results. I really remember that it is God who has seen me through all my hard times and blessed me from uni till now. So i thank God and i will remember his blessings.

Pam: I am reminded to renew my love for the Lord daily. I am also reminded to learn to be as compassionate as the Lord esp. to our students..... Indeed amazing Grace... how sweet the sound that sav a wretch like me....

Crow: Lord, Thank you so much for all you have done for me. Thank you

Sara: today i almost snapped at this very rude leader from the adult's network and i was super upset after receiving her call. one thing after another, it seems to me like attacks from all angles, and i almost threw my towel in.. like as if the Lord had disappointed me. But i know the Lord is good and He is faithful, and should I never forget His goodness and mercy for me, everything that I dont deserve. Teach me Lord to constantly do what is right.

Psalm 105

Psalm 105

1 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.

2 Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.

3 Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.

4 Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.

5 Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,

6 O descendants of Abraham his servant,
O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.

7 He is the LORD our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.

8 He remembers his covenant forever,
the word he commanded, for a thousand generations,

9 the covenant he made with Abraham,
the oath he swore to Isaac.

10 He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant:

11 "To you I will give the land of Canaan
as the portion you will inherit."

12 When they were but few in number,
few indeed, and strangers in it,

13 they wandered from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another.

14 He allowed no one to oppress them;
for their sake he rebuked kings:

15 "Do not touch my anointed ones;
do my prophets no harm."

16 He called down famine on the land
and destroyed all their supplies of food;

17 and he sent a man before them—
Joseph, sold as a slave.

18 They bruised his feet with shackles,
his neck was put in irons,

19 till what he foretold came to pass,
till the word of the LORD proved him true.

20 The king sent and released him,
the ruler of peoples set him free.

21 He made him master of his household,
ruler over all he possessed,

22 to instruct his princes as he pleased
and teach his elders wisdom.

23 Then Israel entered Egypt;
Jacob lived as an alien in the land of Ham.

24 The LORD made his people very fruitful;
he made them too numerous for their foes,

25 whose hearts he turned to hate his people,
to conspire against his servants.

26 He sent Moses his servant,
and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

27 They performed his miraculous signs among them,
his wonders in the land of Ham.

28 He sent darkness and made the land dark—
for had they not rebelled against his words?

29 He turned their waters into blood,
causing their fish to die.

30 Their land teemed with frogs,
which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.

31 He spoke, and there came swarms of flies,
and gnats throughout their country.

32 He turned their rain into hail,
with lightning throughout their land;

33 he struck down their vines and fig trees
and shattered the trees of their country.

34 He spoke, and the locusts came,
grasshoppers without number;

35 they ate up every green thing in their land,
ate up the produce of their soil.

36 Then he struck down all the firstborn in their land,
the firstfruits of all their manhood.

37 He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold,
and from among their tribes no one faltered.

38 Egypt was glad when they left,
because dread of Israel had fallen on them.

39 He spread out a cloud as a covering,
and a fire to give light at night.

40 They asked, and he brought them quail
and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41 He opened the rock, and water gushed out;
like a river it flowed in the desert.

42 For he remembered his holy promise
given to his servant Abraham.

43 He brought out his people with rejoicing,
his chosen ones with shouts of joy;

44 he gave them the lands of the nations,
and they fell heir to what others had toiled for-

45 that they might keep his precepts
and observe his laws.
Praise the LORD. [a]
