in this season of prayer

Hi sisters, in this season of prayer, for the ppl around us, for the 100k campaign, for ourselves and for the church, we'll see the miracles that God can work just by a simple prayer.

The Accomplishments of Prayer

Whenever David found himself in a tight spot, he instinctively turned to God in prayer. Prayer is the natural breath of the believer. It enables you to accomplish what you cannot accomplish by yourself.

First, prayer enables you to reach farther (v. 2). David was homesick. Although he was away from Jerusalem, he was not away from God. No matter where you are, you can reach out through prayer and touch the lives of family, friends and missionaries.

Second, prayer enables you to go higher (v.2). David was overwhelmed and wrapped in gloom. When he prayed, God lifted him up and put him on a high rock, in a tower that He built for him (v. 3). Prayer puts you on the mountaintop and enables you to get a clear perspective of your situation.

Third, prayer enables you to come closer (v.4). "The shelter of your wings" is not referring to a mother hen gathering her chicks before a storm breaks; it is talking about getting under the wings of the cherubim in the Holy of Holies. Through Jesus you can enter into the presence of God and dwell under His wings.

Fourth, prayer enables you to grow richer (v.5). In prayer you draw upon the heritage you have in Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:3).

Fifth, prayer enables you to live fuller (vv.6,7). It's not the length of life that counts but the depth. Prayer puts depth into your life. I pity people who depend upon worldly entertainment instead of the fullness of life in Christ.

Finally, prayer enables you to be happier (v.8). Prayer and praise always go together. David starts out crying and ends up praising. He starts out praying and ends up rejoicing. Spend time with the Lord in prayer. It will change your life

A God that allows suffering and yet......

......we will be kept safe in Him

Today are you in a situation whereby you are stuck somehow? God is larger than any of the trials, sickness, tiredness.

Today some of you might read this post and I sense that the Lord wants to tell you "I Love you!"

The influence of godly mothers

Today's post will round up sat and sun's devotion.
I didn't know how to go about sharing the devotion so i am waiting for the Lord's answer.
Sat the Lord spoke about being patient in the growth of our spiritual children. The Lord says do not rush their growth, but rather pray and aloow Him to make the change. Sometimes as spiritual mothers, we hoped our children will behave in a expected 'christian' way of life. However things don't always turn out the way it is Cos we r not GOD. So my friends, allow the Lord to speak to You and wait. Be still for he is God.

Today the Lord spoke abt the inflence of godly mothers.
Proverbs 31:10,25-31

My friends, you will become spiritual mothers one day, learn to live a life of prayer and godliness, u will not know how many lifes you will impact. Though some may leave along the way, but your teachings in their life they will always remember.
Today start to be a godly mother.

Today is TGIF!!!! Do you jus THank God because its a FRiday!? or u will want to thank God everyday of your life? Is your life in school or at work so tiring that u dread to complete anything....or u felt that u have no more strength to continue?? I have a good news!!! cos in NEhemiah, God says

"The JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH!"

So my friends, learn to have the Joy of the Lord. So u may ask how to have to joy of the Lord???heheh.. simple yet a committed task...learn to do things that pleases the Lord. Remember yesterday's devotion on everything is permissible BUT not everthing is beneficial. So do things that pleases the Lord!

You have a choice!

1 Corinthians 10:22-24

Jus like everyone, i had watched Spiderman.... but only last night. hehe..It was quite a nice show and jus like everyone we talked abt we have a choice.

So today my devotion will be on YOU HAVE A CHOICE!

In corinthians, the book talks about everything is permisible but not everything is beneficial. As a cell leader myself, i always tell my member that it is OK to go clubbing. BUT is it beneficial??? they have to answer themselves....I really don't mind them going pub BUT what do they learn over there? DRink down their sorrows instead of praying? Dance like nobody business, so seducive??? Why cant we dance for the Lord instead??

Sometimes i do chill out.... its purely jus to relax and catch up with friends. But i do know that by goin to pub it doesnt help me to forget my burdens, i still need to draw close to God and that's the most impt thing in life.

My friends, is the Lord trying to tell you you need to change an area of your lifestyle? Think abt it? Remember yesterday i talked about be true to yourself?

Well... there is another area that the Lord wants to speak to you... i had a strutural experience this morning!

This morning as i switch on my com to type this devotion at work... guess what.. the computer beep and beep and the monitor did't show the windows... i panicked.. cos all my proposal for work all inside the com.. i was like SHIT!!!!! i dun wanna re type all over again!! but at the moment.. God speaks to me..Juan, u can either say Shit or give thanks! So i did.. give thanks.. of course nv say KA- NA-SEI!!ahah...den after a while.. the monitor screen came up and it stopped beeping!!! and yeah!!! praise God.

So my friends, do you give thanks when u r in the valley? or u only give thanks in the light! Today learn to give thanks! its a choice!

True to God and ourselves

1 John 1:5-10

I woke up in the morning thinking '' God what do you wan to tell your children today?'' I heard, "Be True to youself" It set me thinking......i guess as we grow older as a christian, we always think that we need to minister to other people. It is ok to sit at our seats when the altar call during service time was speaking to us. We need to minister to others. To a certain extent, we even have stopped crying when the Lord touches us. WE have hardened our hearts. I guess this speaks a lot to me. I think i have forgotten about my personal relationship with God. I thought by serving His people, i can draw closer to Him....but this is not the case. God is looking for my heart, He wants an intimate relationship with me. So today i have decided to put aside time after work to spend time with God and rekindle back my first love for Him.

Today , do you feel the same way? Are you far from the Lord? The Lord says be true to ourselves, if we say we have never sin, we have lied. My dear friends, the Lord is waiting to have an intimate relationship with You. ;)

What is His kingdom?

Passage: Read Matthew 6: 25- 34

In everyday of our life, we worry about everything under the sun. And for those who are studying, we worry whether we get As, those working, you worry whether you did the right thing at work today. Have we ever thought of seek first the Kingdom of god?

3 things that can help us to be children who will seek first the kingdom of God
1. Trust in the Lord Vs 25
- Trust is a word that cannot be explained simply, it needs to be experienced.
- Proverbs 3:5: Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
-You need to believe that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way!
- Commit to Him all your worries.
- Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

2. Know that God knows you need them. Vs 32
- After you trust, you must know that God knows you need them. It might be the $$, the grades for you to enter into a higher education. It might also be disciplining students and class management in class. It might also be just a simple test or quiz, know that the Lord knows you need the wisdom or skills in order to fulfill the tasks.
- You need to trust in the Lord! Remember He knows what is the best for you!

3. Seek first His kingdom Vs33
- What is “His Kingdom” mean to you? Is it God asking you to do Quiet time? To pray to Him, to lead a cell group, to serve Him during the times when you have a worry?
- What’s after seek first His Kingdom and righteousness?? It is .... and all these things will be given to you.
- What are these things? These are the things pagans run after. Pagans are people who don’t believe God. We also run after, like grades, $$, status and recognition at work. God knows we need them. But he said “ But seek first His kingdom……”

Is the Lord asking you to put aside some time to seek Him today?
