Psalm 20

Psalm 20
For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.

3 May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings. Selah

4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.

5 We will shout for joy when you are victorious
and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the LORD grant all your requests.

6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;
he answers him from his holy heaven
with the saving power of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.

9 O LORD, save the king!
Answer us when we call!

Crow: today as i read the passage, i'm reminded to pray and bless my spiritual family... which is... you you you you you! haha, so yes, may the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.. In Jesus name, Amen

Dellia: Yup...as it's said! Trust in the name of the Lord....cos He's most trustworthy!

Chin Ling : What can I say? What Can I do, but to give this heart of mine completely to you. All I can say is that this psalm challenges me to keep praying and believing because God will never fail!

Sara: I know I'm late in blogging this entry… haha… but I felt very encouraged when I read this passage yesterday, that David is praying for us in such a manner, "may the Lord answer you when you are in distress, may He send help, may He remember all your sufferings, may He give you the desires of your heart…etc". He says it in a way like he has gone through these himself and experienced the Lord's blessings and victories in his life, that he wants to bless us the same way too. And vs 5, that all of us will celebrate together when one has come through victoriously!
