Psalm 28

Of David.

1 To you I call, O LORD my Rock;
do not turn a deaf ear to me.
For if you remain silent,
I will be like those who have gone down to the pit.

2 Hear my cry for mercy
as I call to you for help,
as I lift up my hands
toward your Most Holy Place.

3 Do not drag me away with the wicked,
with those who do evil,
who speak cordially with their neighbors
but harbor malice in their hearts.

4 Repay them for their deeds
and for their evil work;
repay them for what their hands have done
and bring back upon them what they deserve.

5 Since they show no regard for the works of the LORD
and what his hands have done,
he will tear them down
and never build them up again.

6 Praise be to the LORD,
for he has heard my cry for mercy.

7 The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to him in song.

8 The LORD is the strength of his people,
a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

9 Save your people and bless your inheritance;
be their shepherd and carry them forever.

Crow: v7, "The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." Help me O Lord... For when I'm weak, then you are strong.

Pam: v9 - "Sav ur ppl... bless ur inheritance.. their shepherd.. carry them 4ever..." I thank God for His reminder and assurance that my ppl are God's ppl n my cry for Him is to continue to be gracious n merciful to them!

Aileen: today is supposed to be the day i know whether i get an increment.. have mercy on me lord!! i've been waiting since last year.. hahahah

Chin Ling: My heart finds rest and Joy in V7, In all things, i must learn to trust him.

Sara: vs 7 - "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." I felt very lifted and encouraged especially after reading this vs. Today, i was very thankful for the off day that i could take amidst all the busyness at work. I had the opportunity to send my laptop for repair, relax at the beach, spend quality time with mel, and read more of the book that del asked us to get. and i was at this chapter about having positive thoughts. indeed as it says, i do find that having positive thoughts and focusing on the helper really brings joy to my heart! thank you Lord, coz you are my strength and you are my shield! And i trust you for my every provision! =)

Dellia: woah..when I read this psalm...it was just like reading that's all. then when i came back from school, my computer crashed!! haaa......!! Well, my assignments are due within these 3 weeks and school has been crazy...but I thank God, cos I feel that indeed in this verse it says "my heart trusts in him and I am helped!" I believe and I trust! I will sing praise to Him no matter what happens! =) Haaa...so now I got excuse if i can't blog right?? haaa...just kidding!

Jacq: Just like everyone else, v7 stands out.. like.. an assurance on how the Lord is my protector, and my source of strength.. like.. Vitamin S.. need some vitamin S.. Look for Jesus!
