Psalm 6

1O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your wrath.

2 Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint;
O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony.

3 My soul is in anguish.
How long, O LORD, how long?

4 Turn, O LORD, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.

5 No one remembers you when he is dead.
Who praises you from the grave [b] ?

6 I am worn out from groaning;
all night long I flood my bed with weeping
and drench my couch with tears.

7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
they fail because of all my foes.

8 Away from me, all you who do evil,
for the LORD has heard my weeping.

9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy;
the LORD accepts my prayer.

10 All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed;
they will turn back in sudden disgrace.

Chinling:

Reading Psalm 5 reminded me that it is alright to feel sad,because life afterall is not a bed of roses, but it is who we turn to and how we react when we feel upset or disappointed that made a great deal of difference. As for David, he was going through dire circumstances and I'm sure he was going through a very difficult time, but one thing for sure, He did not question the existence of God, the goodness of God, neither the presence of God in his life. He turned to God immediately and was assured of God's love and protection. There was a immediate change in tone in verse 8 and I believe it was because David laid bare his feelings before the Lord in exchange for the Hope and the rest in the Lord. In this, the Lord reminded me that in ALL circumstances, he is the way, the truth and the life. The secret lies in turning to him at all times. He is the only one who will give us the rest and hope.

Huijuan:

This psalm assures me that God hear my cries, and i should not take His mercy for granted. Although psalm is quite chim to read for a non ang mo person like me, but in my limitation in ANG MO language, God can also speak simply in my life. :)

Dellia:

Thank you Lord, cos I know that no matter what I go through, You are always with me!

Crow:

For me, I'm affirmed that the Lord hears and the Lord will help when we cry out to Him.. :)
